The research I am gathering on these microplastics and plastic contamination is leaving me somewhat despondent. Trying to make art work that wishes to pass on a message, yet what is the message now? That we have polluted our oceans for the next 1000years? 


Should the work be based on hindsight? 


Does the work have to provide a message? 


Can the art be a translation/interpretation of the thing that cannot be seen, yet can be discovered by the scientist?

Can I simply create a work that identifies an issue? 


This work must not be aesthetic or I will be accused of celebrating mans creation... plastic ocean.
